Tying Off Loose Ends

With some level of confidence I can predict that everyone has had a time in life when they felt like cutting their losses and bailing out.

At times this has been a sensible thought. At others it was the wrong move.

Sometimes, however, this is about finally making the decision to go a different way in life—away from the continual frustration or terror of the trepidation we’ve previously been into... you know what I mean.

It takes courage... and counsel.

That trusted wise one, the person (or persons) we can depend upon; they help us overcome the barriers to concluding the decision-making process. Never forcing or manipulating they instead give us confidence and affirmation—to begin.

Then it is up to us.

We jump off our jumping off points. We take that plunge and then experience the depth of the new venture of a fresh reality. It’s real down there! It may even be slightly unpleasant; uncomfortable even. But we’re buoyed and sustain our hope.

And hope doesn’t disappoint us; we’re blessed eventually as we combine the practical portents of our wisdom-of-insight with our faith to wait on the results; ever monitoring and caring for our lives.
